First of all, I wanted to say thank you for all your hard work, dedications, and patience throughout this past year and more importantly, this past New Year. As you know, we would not be as successful if we didn't practice over this long stretch of time. Here's the ULTIMATE plan for this year.
1. Continue to practice every week
2. Eliminate free-style and convert everyone into routine
3. From Kim-Su Level (Golden Lion) up - everyone needs to learn instruments
4. Designate 2 or 3 pairs for jongs (pole)
5. Train 2 more heads for high pole to assist Lam
6. Every pair is to last AT LEAST 10 minutes in the lion head
7. Everyone will need to learn at least one form of Martial Arts because that's our basic of lion dance. Also an area of weakness we're facing right now.
To meet these goals, other than practice each week, I will need to get you guys into shape including myself. Big guys need to to loose weight and build stamina. Small guys need to gain muscle, not weight, and build strength.
One thing is REQUIRED is committment. This year, during a public performance, each pair will do a set of routine and that is your evaluation. This will happen sometimes in August.
I will re-level everyone accordingly soon and I will ask for funding of the sweaters.
Thanks,
A. Hiep

**note** - My van, anh Hai's, and Lam's are the only vehicles to be inside for loading/unloading. Everyone needs to find parking fast and help out to unload and set up equipment.
Below is the detailed email from our client about the performance at 7:00pm
"Our address is 12835 Black Mountain Road, San Diego. It is located at the south east corner of the intersection between Ted William Parkway 56 and Black Mountain Road. The entrance drive way is narrow and cars go fast so be careful as you approach the drive way entrance so you won't miss it. Once you miss it, you will make a big circle and waste time. Check out the map or arial view in Yahoo map before you come. I will try to hang something red on the tree by the drive way so you know where to turn in. Once you come in, the first building you see is our church. You drive to the east end of the building and park there where is nearest to the stage. I will put some chairs out to reserve 4 parkings for you. Call my cell when you get lost or arrive at the church building."
